Viper FTP’s context menu provides access to numerous tools and functions that allow you to open a selected file with the desired application, open items in a new window, do not duplicate, rename, delete or make aliases for any given file, calculate directory size, edit text-based files with TextEdit, pack or unpack an archive and make appropriate changes to files and folders, check the file list, monitor connections, collapse folders and much more.
Furthermore,Application allows you to share items using the Apple Mail app. From the Remote Viper FTP menu, you can quickly connect or disconnect from the server, enter an FTP command, download a selected item, and change the transfer type. Furthermore, Application allows you to change its appearance, display files and folders in groups, and show or hide hidden files and folders. Viper FTP allows you to choose the application with which CSS or other file types should be opened, and you can also customize the notification system based on your preferences.
Everyday workflow
The contextual menu puts common actions close at hand: open a file with the app you want, duplicate or rename items, pack or unpack archives, calculate folder size, peek at file lists, fold or unfold folders, track connections, and more—without digging through deep menus for each step.
From the remote menu you can connect or disconnect, issue FTP commands, upload the selection, and adjust transfer type. You can also tweak how files and folders are grouped, show or hide hidden items, choose default apps for things like CSS, and adjust notifications to suit how you work.
Apple Mail integration lets you share items through Apple’s mail client when that fits your workflow.
